Disporty provides an online competition and community platform for players, teams and organisers. This notice explains how Disporty ("we", "us" or "our") handles personal information when you use our website, organisation pages, competition tools, Discord bot and related services. It should be read alongside our Terms of Service and Cookies Policy.
This notice describes Disporty's processing. Competition organisers, organisation administrators and third-party services may also process your information for their own purposes. Their notices apply to that separate processing. Availability of a feature depends on your account, permissions, organisation, plan and the integrations enabled; this notice is not a promise that every feature is available to every user.
Connected services provide the information permitted by their APIs, the integration and your authorisation; connecting an account does not give us everything stored in that service. Other users and organisers may submit records about your participation. Please only submit information about others where you have permission or another lawful basis.
We use information to create and secure accounts, manage teams and competitions, display results, operate organisation pages, provide requested integrations, administer purchases and payouts, respond to support requests and maintain the platform. We also use operational information to investigate abuse, prevent fraud, resolve disputes and improve reliability.
Depending on the activity and applicable law, processing is necessary to provide services under our agreement with you, meet legal obligations, or pursue legitimate interests in operating and protecting the platform, balanced against your rights. Where consent is required, including for relevant optional communications or cookies, that processing must rely on consent. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
Account, security and transaction messages are distinct from marketing. Use the unsubscribe mechanism in optional emails where provided, or contact us about communication preferences.
Published profiles, teams, rosters, competition entries, fixtures, results, statistics, rankings, awards and organisation content may be visible to other users or the public according to the feature's visibility settings. Public pages may be indexed by search engines or shared elsewhere. Do not include confidential information in public profiles, uploads or posts.
Organisers and administrators receive access needed for the roles they hold. Participation in an organisation or competition can therefore make relevant membership and competition information available to its authorised administrators. Contact the organiser about information they collect independently; contact Disporty about information held by the platform.
Discord integrations process user and display identifiers, server, channel, role, message or interaction identifiers, account links and the data needed for enabled commands, feeds and notifications. These records support identity and ownership verification, permissions, delivery, duplicate prevention and usage controls. Discord roles do not themselves grant Disporty permissions.
When live support is enabled, ordinary messages in configured support channels may be processed without a command or mention, including messages from people without linked Disporty accounts. The live-support handler ignores other channels, direct messages, bot, webhook and system messages. It does not fetch historical messages or process attachments. Other bot features have their own enabled inputs and delivery destinations.
Support questions and limited recent same-user conversation excerpts are sent through our website API to the configured AI provider. Reference material is restricted to reviewed public help, public updates and the applicable organisation name, not private reports, internal documents or staff history. Information in your question can still reach the provider. Never submit credentials, payment details or sensitive personal information to the support chat.
Live replies and proposed reports are visible to people with access to the channel. Linking your account does not make those messages private. Support-command replies and confirmation results use Discord's ephemeral responses. Saving a report requires verified support account linking and your explicit confirmation. Authorised staff can review stored reports. Following report updates is a separate opt-in choice and can be stopped with the unfollow command.
Revoking a support link stops linked support access. It does not erase the underlying Discord identity connection, submitted reports, subscriptions or messages already delivered. Unlinked messages in an enabled support channel can still receive public help. To avoid AI support processing, do not post in that channel; contact support@disporty.com instead. Discord processes messages and account information under its Privacy Policy.
Where available, AI tools may process prompts, selected page or competition content, images or other media you submit to generate suggestions, designs or extracted information. Authorised internal tools may process selected project records or approved documentation. Inputs are sent to the provider used by the particular feature; avoid unnecessary personal or confidential data. AI output can be inaccurate and should be reviewed before use or publication.
Provider retention and use of inputs depend on the provider and contractual configuration in use. This notice does not guarantee zero provider retention or a universal no-training arrangement. Contact privacy@disporty.com for the providers and safeguards applicable to your interaction.
Information is shared as needed with authorised platform staff, relevant organisers and service providers for hosting, storage, authentication, email, payments, AI and enabled integrations. Public content is shared according to its publication settings. We may disclose information where legally required, to protect rights or safety, investigate misuse, or in connection with a business transfer subject to applicable protections.
Providers may process information outside your country. Applicable transfer safeguards and processing locations depend on the provider and arrangement. Contact privacy@disporty.com to request details of recipients and safeguards relevant to your information. Third-party services you use independently also have their own privacy policies and controls.
Retention depends on the record's purpose, account and competition lifecycle, support needs, financial or legal obligations, dispute periods and security requirements. Inactivity does not automatically delete an account. Competition and transaction records may need to be retained after an account closes; deletion requests are assessed against applicable obligations and the rights of others.
Live-support conversation context and unsubmitted drafts are held in bot process memory with a ten-minute expiry for reuse or submission. Cleanup happens during subsequent processing and a bot restart clears that memory. This is not a ten-minute deletion schedule for confirmed reports, account links, subscriptions, usage records, Discord messages, provider records or backups. Deletion from Disporty does not automatically remove copies held by Discord or other services.
We use access controls and technical safeguards to protect information, but no service can guarantee absolute security. Protect your account credentials and report suspected unauthorised access to support@disporty.com. Do not send passwords or tokens with a report.
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing, including processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent where it is the basis for processing. We may need to verify your identity and consider legal exceptions before fulfilling a request.
Contact privacy@disporty.com for privacy requests, including Discord support data. To request account deletion, email deleteaccount@disporty.com from your registered email with your username and "Delete Account" in the subject. Do not provide identity documents unless requested through an appropriate secure process. You may complain to the relevant data protection authority, including the UK Information Commissioner's Office where applicable.
Disporty is not intended for children under 13 or anyone below the applicable minimum age for using the service. Additional organiser, game or third-party age requirements may apply. Contact privacy@disporty.com if you believe a child has supplied personal information contrary to these requirements so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
We update this notice when services or processing practices change. The date above identifies the current revision; material changes will be communicated where required by law. Privacy questions can be sent to privacy@disporty.com.
